"Health professionals agree that nutrition services are one of the first treatments that individuals should receive to improve conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and hypertension."(source the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, 2019)
Nutrition counseling is a continuous process between a patient and a health professional, most commonly a registered dietitian. You will be assessed by the dietitian based on your past and current nutritional health. The goal of nutrition counseling varies for every individual, whether they are in need of guidance for medical conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular problems; losing weight; improving blood sugar levels, and maintaining weight. The dietitian discusses and guides you through the process of achieving your reasonable health goals in terms of diet, supplements and exercise.
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
DaNutri adopts the Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) approach to guide customers through lifestyle changes for reaching nutritional goals. According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is a specific application of the Nutrition Care Process in clinical settings that is focused on disease management. MNT involves in-depth individualized nutrition assessment and a duration and frequency of care using the Nutrition Care Process to manage disease.
